Introduction to Order Management


Hotcakes Commerce makes order management easy with an intuitive admin as well as a native mobile app.


For an in depth look at the Order Manager visit Orders from the navigation bar to see each order you have received.

Orders by status are shown on the right side. Orders that are received but have yet to be processed will show as received. To see the details click Details button on the left.

Once you review your order you can capture payment by clicking Payment on the order details page.

When capturing payment you have several options. The amount that was initially held during the purchases can be collected by clicking “Capture Hold”. If the customer purchased multiple items and one is not available, you can alter the amount charged in the “New Charges” area. Refunds can be given here as well.

Once payment is captured you can update shipping information with a tracking number in the shipping center.

To leave notes to the Drop Shipper or other admins on this order you can do so in the private notes section. For instance, if you need to let the Drop Shipper know that the item will be picked up rather than shipped you can leave that in Private Notes which will only be available to admins.
