Payment Status

There are a large number of places where you might find a payment status displayed to merchants and/or customers.  This article aims at helping you to define what the different status stages are.

Status Description
Unknown Something unexpected has happened and a payment status was unable to be determined. If you ever see this, you may need to contact support.
Unpaid The order has not yet had any payments applied.
Partially Paid At least one payment has been applied to the order, but more payments remain.
Paid The entire expected payment amount for the order has been made.
Overpaid The order has a higher amount of payments applied than what the order requires.  The order likely requires a refund to be applied.
