Hotcakes Content Blocks Module

Overview

There are content blocks that get managed in the backend administration as part of one or many content columns.  Once they're created, they not only can get used within various products and categories, but this module as well.  This makes the content blocks even more flexible and useful than you may have previously though.

Requirements

The following prerequisites will be necessary to accomplish the goals of this article:

Getting Started

The information provided here is based upon the default configuration of Hotcakes and the default viewset. Your views may have more or less functionality, depending on how it was implemented by your technical team.

Content Blocks Module

The content blocks module is not placed for you anywhere on your site. If you wish to use it, you should add it to one or more pages, as desired. When you add this module to a page, it will still need to be configured before it knows how you intend for it to be used.  Please see the module settings section below.

How the module looks and how it functions will directly relate back to the content columns and blocks you've created in the backend administration, and how you've changed the respective views in the viewset.

Module Settings

This module has settings that are unique to how it works on your site for you and your customer.  If you're not already familiar with how module settings work, you should see the module settings documentation to learn more.
