Overview
You can set up specific page configurations from the Hotcakes Settings section. This feature defines the pages that are used for both automatic and clickable navigation options for customers. When you set these pages, it will help to define how customers are navigated through their shopping experience.
The URL's themselves are managed in the respective settings for each page.
Requirements
The following prerequisites will be necessary to accomplish the goals of this article:
- Have access to your Hotcakes store administration
- Must have the store pages already created
- You should be familiar with the various store modules available
Getting Started
If you've used the getting started wizard to create your store, you most likely have pages pre-configured with Hotcakes modules. Otherwise, you might need to manually create and configure those pages. Regardless, those pages will need to be in place before this configuration view will be useful.
The getting started wizard will already have the page configuration saved. If this is the case for you, there's no reason to change any of the settings in this view, unless you've manually changed how your pages work since initially configuring your pages in the wizard.
Page Configuration
You'll find the page configuration view in the Settings menu of the control panel.
Choose the page you want to configure from the various drop down lists. Notice that these settings each have an icon next to them. This is the icon that indicates that the setting will directly be shown or otherwise impact you customers.
If your site supports multiple languages, you'll want to repeat the configuration steps for each page for each supported language here. Once you're done saving the configuration for a specific language, change the language to the next one you're like to configure in the control panel, then save the page configuration again to match the pages in that respective language.
