- Your store should have at least one completed order
Until you have at least one completed order, this report will not be very useful.
Product Sales Report
Click the Product Sales menu item in the Reports menu in the control panel.
After you open the Product Sales page, you can select a date range or use the default of "This Month" to see all of the products that have been sold this month. Once you select a date range that contains product sales, you'll see a grid similar to the one below.
|SKU||You'll see the unique SKU for the product that was sold in this column. If you click on the SKU number, you'll see a child report called "Customers by Product."|
|Product Name||This is the product name matching the SKU for the product that was sold. If you click on the SKU number, you'll see a child report called "Customers by Product."|
|Quantity||This column represents the total number of sales for this product.|
|Avg. Price||Your product price may change over time. This column takes that into account by letting you know what the average price is over the period of time you've selected.|
|Sales||This will be a sum total of the sales for this product, which is basically the quantity multiplied by the line item price at the time of sale. This doesn't include any shipping, taxes, or discounts.|
|Discounts||If the product had any discounts applied to it in any of the orders in this date range, the sum total of those discounts will be in this column.|
|Gross Sales||This column will essentially be the Sales of the product, minus the Discounts that were found.|
Customers By Product Report
In order to see the Customers By Product report, you'll need to first view the report discussed above, and then click through on a product name or SKU. This will result in a report like shown below. You can filter this report again for a new date range if you'd like.
This report is very useful to use for other external processes, such as generating an e-mail marketing campaign for a specific product. This reporting view allows you to download all of the customers that had purchased the product, and you can then import those customers into your CRM or e-mail marketing platform. All you need to do to get started is click the "Export to Excel" button.
|First Name||This is the first name of the customer in this row, as they specified during the checkout process.|
|Last Name||This is the last name of the customer in this row, as they specified during the checkout process.|
|E-Mail Address||This is the e-mail address of the customer in this row, as they specified during the checkout process.|
There is a "Go Back" button in the left panel. Clicking this button will take you back to the Product Sales report, with the date range still applied. You'll find that this is better than clicking the back button.
