The VendorManufacturer class is the used as a view model to render a vendor or manufacturer in various views, including search results and the drill-down category view. This article will help you understand what's available to you in the view model.

The VendorManufacturer class will contain all of the details for a specific vendor or manufacturer in your Hotcakes Commerce store.


The following table gives you details on the various members of the VendorManufacturer object.  The descriptions are based on default functionality and the default Viewset included with Hotcakes.

Member Type Description
Address Address An address object matching the vendor/manufacturer.
Bvin String This is the ID of the vendor/manufacturer.
ContactType VendorManufacturerType

Specifies whether this instance of the object contains contacts for a vendor or a manufacturer.

  • -1 - Unknown (should never be the case)
  • 0 - Vendor
  • 1 - Manufacturer
DisplayName String The value used in all administrative and customer views to identify the vendor/manufacturer.
DropShipEmailTemplateId String The e-mail template ID used when workflow sends a notification e-mail about a drop shipment.
EmailAddress String The primary e-mail address used to contact the vendor/manufacturer. This is used for system e-mails for actions such as drop-shipping.
LastUpdated DateTime An auditing value to track the last time the vendor/manufacturer record was updated.
StoreId Long This is the ID of the Hotcakes store. Typically, this is 1, except in multi-tenant environments.
